TSM32 has recently deployed its second iteration of its VoIP product
.

Quadtec, the leading laser engraving and marking specialists based in Sydney and Melbourne decided to replace their ageing key phone system. Their main motivation for this was the need to replace the old system but also to gain added functionality from the features of a VoIP system such as voice mail and the ability to check voice mail remotely.

Simon Merunovich, Managing Director of the Sydney branch, states that the most important benefit has been the ability to project a more professional image and have the full feature set of a phone system that is scaleable to dozens of handsets at a price point that is attractive to small and medium enterprise.

“We expect our call costs to drop significantly, at this stage we project savings will be approximately 25% by using our VoIP provider through the phone system for outgoing calls.”

“We also intend to use the automated attendant functionality to route our calls in future to give our customers the ability to speak to the right person eg. someone who wants to check on the status of an order can be routed to the appropriate contact person to answer their query.”

“We are able to identify phone calls based on the line they come in on and route them accordingly as we run several business that are integrated with each other and we are able to distinguish these calls. This allows us to run multiple companies from the same office in a seamless manner.”

“We are also in the future looking at the prospect of providing these features and facilities to our Melbourne staff over our existing VPN (Virtual Private Network) tunnels, providing further cost saving by enabling free telephony between our offices over a secured encrypted medium.”

“The possibilities are endless as you are able to remotely log in anywhere in the world to check voice mail and place phone calls from anywhere in the world through your phone system over VPN as long as you have a reliable internet connection. So it is ideal for travelers and people who work from home, with the added advantage of no extra set up costs once you have purchased the phone system and appropriate handsets or soft phones.”

Finally, a word from Julian James, Director of TSM32 “VoIP is not just about toll bypass i.e. saving money on calls. Integrated with the right solutions it can increase an organisation’s operational efficiencies and also provides a robust communication platform that extends from the simple telephone handset to desktop pcs and the integration of voice mail with e-mail. It is ideal for today’s environment where remote working is no longer cost prohibitive for small to medium enterprise.”
